Our Students Achieve Good Results at IEO China Open Round 2020

On April 25, the International Economics Olympiad (IEO) China Open Round 2020 was successfully concluded in more than 100 test centers across the country, and nearly 1,500 high school students participated in the academic challenge. This is a grant economics event annually held for high school students to encourage those interested in Economics, Finance and Business and inspire them to solve problems in creative ways. Eric Mask, Prof. of Harvard University, who won the Nobel Prize for Economics, serves as the chairman of the council, which officially began in 2018. The competition, though newly held, provides a brand stage for high school students interested in business to demonstrate their abilities. Although it is the first time for our school students to participate in the competition, our school team, consisting of students from both the International Division and the Domestic Division achieved amazing results. Of the rookie group, Li Jinyu won the first prize for individuals, Wu Yifan and Liu Yizhi the second, and Qian Changru and He Jiaqi the third.  Of the professional group, Tan Liugu, Zhu Weihao, Zhang Shuwei and Zhou Jianxun won the third prize for individuals, and Xing Zhi was nominated.

This is a brand-new beginning, and there will be more challenges to overcome in the later finals. Our school hopes that the contestants will carry all before it and achieve satisfactory results!
