Big news! No.2 High School of ECNU confirmed as venue of CPhO 2024 Final

The Chinese Physics Olympiad Committee recently issued an announcement in which it was agreed that the Shanghai Physics Society, East China Normal University, and No.2 High School of East China Normal University (ECNU) would co-host the final of the 2024 Chinese Physics Olympiad (CPhO).

This heralds the return of the country’s highest level of Physics competition for high school students to Shanghai after a six-year hiatus. This is another important event for No.2 High School of ECNU after hosting the 39th National Olympiad in Informatics in Provinces in 2022.

No.2 High School of ECNU has always attached great importance to the cultivation of outstanding and innovative talents in basic disciplines, and its achievements in Physics competitions are particularly outstanding and ranks among the best in China. To date, its students have won a total of 30 International Olympiad gold medals, 17 of which have come from the subject of Physics. For five consecutive years since 2018, a total of nine individuals have been selected for the Chinese National Team in the International and Asian Physics Olympiads, winning four consecutive international gold medals.

No.2 High School of ECNU is confident in hosting the event and welcomes young students from all over the country, who love Physics to Shanghai to compete together and establish friendship.
