Good News – Our Student wins Gold Medal at iENA 2025

Victory was recently achieved at iENA 2025 held in Nuremberg, Germany. Kong Ziyi, a student from Class 9 Grade 11 of our school, No. 2 High School of ECNU stood out among 540 entries from across 21 countries and regions. His innovative project secured a gold medal, marking a significant achievement for our school on the international stage.

Kong Ziyi, who serves as Vice Chairman of the Student Science and Technology Association, demonstrated excellence throughout the defense and exhibition process, and he was highly praised as Best Junior by the general jury.

As one of the world’s “Big Three” invention trade fairs, iENA Nuremberg featured a strong presentation from the Chinese Innovation Delegation this year, with a lineup of over 100 high-caliber innovations and 60-plus youth entries. Kong Ziyi secured his place on the international stage after successfully navigating a competitive selection process at home. By the time the event wrapped up in Bavaria, Germany on November 3rd, his project themed Electrothermal Fog-resistant Swimming Goggles had become a standout. The project swept through three rounds of professional judging with unanimous approval and captured the interest of numerous industry exhibitors and visitors thanks to its creative edge and market potential.

The victory marks a milestone for Kong Ziyi and highlights the success of the School’s dedicated focus on science and technology innovation education. Following the award, our school praised the efforts of Kong Ziyi, his coach Qian Feng, and the science and technology teaching team. This achievement sets the bar high for future students, as they continue to pursue excellence in global scientific competition.

I have dedicated a lot of time and effort to this project, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the school for its unwavering support and to Mr. Qian Feng for his professional guidance.

It was a great honor to have the opportunity to learn from outstanding youth, university students, corporate inventors, and experts from around the world. During the three days of exchange, I gained many valuable suggestions and inspirations. In particular, understanding the diverse needs of people from different countries and fields has illuminated the path for my future research and studies, while significantly improving my English proficiency and social skills.

I am committed to continuing steadfastly on the path of scientific innovation.
