A unique cultural exchange gala for students from China, Italy, and Thailand was held at the concert hall of the International Division at noon on Wednesday, October 16th, 2024. The event was not just a cultural collision, but a spiritual communication, where teachers and students from Concordian International School in Thailand, National Residential School in Rome, Italy, and the International Division of No. 2 High School of ECNU spent a wonderful time together.

The event kicked off with the host’s enthusiastic speech. The first program was the wonderful performance of the Chinese martial art of “Eastern Martial Soul”, where two Chinese martial artists showcased the charm and power of martial arts in sweat and passion, which drew thunderous applause from the audience. Subsequently, students from Thailand brought the program of “Lotus Lantern Dance”, featuring elegant dance moves and auspicious lotus flowers, fully displaying the gentleness and elegance of Thai culture.

Italian exchange students presented the program of ‘The Most Dazzling National Style’ with cheerful rhythms and moving melodies, expressing Italian people’s love for a better life in a unique way. And the Thai boxing performance showcased the flexibility and power of the ancient self-defense technique, igniting the atmosphere on site once again.

Students from the International Division of No. 2 High School of ECNU performed “Orchid Pavilion Preface” in a duet of Guzheng and flute, delivering the charm of traditional Chinese instruments to its climax. The event came to an end with the joyful song and dance performance of ‘Too Much So Much Very Much’.

This celebration not only deepened the understanding of each other’s cultures among students from the three countries, but also built a bridge of friendship in their hearts. As the host said, “There are boats to cross the sea, and roads to pass through the mountains. Even if people are thousands of miles apart, their love can cross mountains and seas”. And the friendship among students from the three schools is sincere and deep. At the end of the event, students from the International Division of No. 2 High School of ECNU sent their sincerest wishes to the friends who came from afar, hoping that they would gain a lot in this journey and feel fulfilled and gratified. The cultural exchange gala for students from the three schools has successfully concluded, and everyone is looking forward to meeting again in the future.
